Well - I'm back in Sarasota for another medical conference... this one is on a Cardiology review - remembering things like 'hokum' (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy which isn't often obstructive actually) and that I forget to screen men 65-74 who have smoked for AAA!
It's an interesting mix of people, about 70 - 80 registered - and a few coming all the way from the Philippines, Haiti, and Iceland! We get this little audience response (anonymous) keypad, so that the speakers can ask a few pre-test and post-test questions to see how we do. Only about 35-40 people answer. They put up the graphs right after the post-test questions, so we can see how we 'learned' through the talk... and it looks like most of us learn, but not all! (a little scary actually...)
So today, my brother, SIL, and niece went to the Mote Marine Lab and Aquarium... here are some pics. Too bad Adia's scared of the scuba guys in the big tanks, so we couldn't get a good look at the massive manatees....
And of course, we're eating well as usual! We're heading back to our favorite places... the Broken Egg, Columbia Restaurant, and tried Captain Curt's for seafood this time.
